Ballygunner 1-19; Tallow 0-6

Ballygunner took their 12th Waterford senior hurling title with comparative ease against Tallow on Sunday, consigning last year’s final reversal against De La Salle to history.

As the scoreline suggests, the result of this game was decided from a long way out as Ballygunner swept Tallow aside without ever having to hit top gear.

The large attendance witnessed five star performances from Pauric Mahony who finished with 11 points and Gunners centre-back Wayne Hutchinson who surely impressed watching Waterford boss Michael Ryan.
