Congratulations to John Keane on the publication of his book, ‘Hidden Kilkenny – Knaves, Knights and Norman Abbots’.

Published by The Mercier Press in hardback at €19.99, it is a fascinating collection of Kilkenny stories superbly told in an entertaining and informative way by the author.

Every home should have one and it would make a super Christmas gift for Kilkenny people at home and abroad.  In fact, it will appeal to any person with an interest in our history and heritage no matter what part of Ireland they come from.

John (Sean) Keane is deputy editor of The Kilkenny People newspaper and is son of the late, great and much loved playwright and writer, John B Keane.

John B would have been very proud of his youngest son’s book but, of course, he always knew that the apple hadn’t fallen very far from the tree.  Highly recommended.
