Waterford Spraoi has been boosted by the news that this year’s Festival is to benefit from RTE through its ‘Supporting The Arts’ initiative.
This welcome new partnership will provide the festival with a major national promotional opportunity through the national broadcaster and comes as welcome news for one of the country’s most popular street culture showcases.
“Along with our partners at The Arts Council and Waterford City and County Council, and now with RTE, we’re determined to establish Waterford as the street arts centre of Ireland,” Spraoi’s Niamh Colbert told The Munster Express.
“Spraoi is unique in terms of Irish festivals, we need to highlight that fact so RTE’s support will be a game-changer in this regard.”
According to RTE’s South East Correspondent Damien Tiernan: “Spraoi is truly loved in Waterford. The partnership with RTE will bring this great event into homes throughout Ireland.
