Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery at Walsh’s Garage on the Cork Road last Thursday night.
Two males wearing hoodies, hats and gloves entered the garage at around 7.45pm.
One of the men was carrying a large knife. They demanded money and took some cash from the till before leaving the scene on foot. Nobody was injured in the robbery.
Separately, a house at the Folly was ransacked in a burglary last Thursday. The house owner returned home at around 7.15pm to find the front room ransacked. It appears the culprits were disturbed and left through the rear door. A pocket watch with a chain was taken
