A TRAMORE man will embark on a globetrotting adventure next week which will see him drive through more than 20 countries and clock up almost 30,000 km. As part of his ‘Overland to Oz’ endeavour which is expected to take around five months to complete, David O’Connor will depart Tramore in his jeep bound for Australia on August 1st. The route for the epic trip, which is expected to take around five months, will see David travel across Europe, through Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India, before the jeep is shipped to Malaysia and then to Indonesia before continuing onto Darwin in Australia.
