Fifty new jobs at compost centre

Some fifty jobs are to be created through FLI Energy’s redevelopment of the Waterford City compost centre at Kilbarry.

Forty of them will be in construction and about ten operational.

The Waterford-based company is to build Ireland’s first municipal anaerobic digestion plant, in partnership with the City Council, in a €5 million project which will generate electricity for 2,000 homes from brown-bin waste.
