Local ladies promoting Parkinson’s awareness

PicATWO Waterford women who suffer from Parkinson’s Disease are striving to raise awareness of the condition in the locality.
This week (April 7th – 14th) marks Parkinson’s Awareness Week, with Thursday April 11th designated as World Parkinson’s Awareness Day.

‘Shoddy’ newspaper reporting ‘impugned Council’s integrity’

A newspaper article claiming that Waterford City Council was paying more than twice the value for 11 houses it was buying from the trustees of the local Holy Ghost Hospital has been denounced as totally untrue by City Manager Michael Walsh.

‘Waterford must become a positive news source’

“Positivity breeds positivity,” said Michael Garland when assessing the state of Waterford and the south east, stressing that we need more of it in print, over the airwaves and in our general daily discourse.
