Two new companies have announced plans to set up in Waterford in recent days, which will result in the creation of at least 110 jobs.

The new manufacturing plant will see the immediate creation of 80 jobs in manufacturing, retail and distribution and a company spokesperson said more jobs would follow.
“The company sees the potential for huge growth and anticipates the creation of up to 1,000 quality jobs over the next 12 to 18 months”, the spokesperson added.
Meanwhile a further 30 new jobs have been announced for the city, with the creation by medical device company NuVasive of a new International Operations Centre.
The company has already begun hiring supply chain, customer service, accounting, and IT positions, with all 30 of the roles to be filled over the next three years. The San Diegobased company develops surgical products and procedures for the spine.

Mr Alex Lukianov, NuVasive’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said the company was thrilled to be locating in Waterford given the access it shall have to strong local talent in supporting their international operations.
