“Metalfest” is going to be the biggest all ages metal event of the year,if not the last few(hopefully going to make it an annual event).With bands coming from all around Ireland to showcase their talents.The line up includes Seven diffrent bands from around Ireland including,the headlining act,THOUGHTS OF RUIN,with suppourt from,Heresy,Orpheus,Chaotic Necropolis,Saviours of Sin,Blood Splatterd Bride and Leave Scars.This gig caters for all metal listeners,Thrash Metal,Death Metal,Dethcore,etc etc..

Metalfest is taking place in Electric Avenue John St. Waterford on Saturday 27th December.Seeing as it is an all ages gig there will be no alcohol and a mineral bar only.The gig will kick off at 3.30 and end at aprox. 8.00 pm.Admission is 10 euro on the door. Both Orpheus and Heresy will be selling copys of their EP’S on the day.

Thoughts of Ruin(formerly known as Revenant)who are headlining this event are no stranger to the Waterford Metal scene,and always entertain the crowed.Their Debut Album “Reclaim The Throne” is available from the “underground-movement”web site play.com,Sentinel records in Dublinand pluggd records in Cork.Thoughts of Ruin Originally formed under the name Revenant in early 2005.After getting a full band together A 6 track EP “Convictions” was recorded and an extensive touring schedule was undertaken that resulted in shows all over the country with such big Irish names as MikeGotSpiked, Clergy, Itchy Trigger Finger, Silent Conflict, ColdWar and 23 This was followed by great reviews of both the CD and the live shows as Revenant honed there show in the live atmosphere.Their Hardwork and excellent music earned them slots with German veterans Necrophagist French heavyweights Dagoba,Sikh and American Metalers Proven.Before Recording their Debut album the name Revenant was change to Thoughts of Ruin.The album was recorded at cox in hell studios,france by kallaghan(sikh)who did an amazing job.The Album will be on sale at the show,and also a limited number of t-shirts(fitted sizes for girls…or guys..if they want)
