Cork City Foras 0;    Waterford United 1

Waterford United are right back in the play-off picture once again following a terrific victory in Turners Cross on Friday night.
This was the second time this season that the Blues took all three points from the Leeside venue, and that is a rare occurrence to say the very least.
Stephen Henderson had to plan for this game without five players. Paul Murphy, Michael Coady and Seamus Long were suspended, and Alan Carey and Shane Barrett were ruled out by injury, while two players who did line out, Willie John Kiely and John Hayes, were on their sickbeds all week and didn’t train leading up to the game so this was an incredible result.
Hayes turned in a brilliant display in the heart of the defence, while Kiely scored the golden goal. With Limerick losing to Derry City, Waterford have now gone into third position and remain just two points behind second-placed Monaghan United.
The previous week the Blues defeated Wexford Youths in the South East derby and this latest Munster derby triumph has really got the juices flowing once again in the United squad.
Paul Carey came back into the team after almost two months on the treatment table and Liam Kearney also returned following his dispute with the manager. Carey played at right full-back and Kearney slotted in a left full in place of Michael Coady.
