Waterford United’s promotion hopes are now sandwiched somewhere between chaos and confusion following this latest defeat allied to the results from the other games played over the weekend.
Shelbourne lead the way with 32 points, followed by Cork City and Monaghan who have banked 30 points each. Waterford United are way back on 16 points and it would appear from those facts that another season in the lower grade is very much on the cards.
