Dungarvan United 1; Bohemians 2

Following Waterford Crystal’s victory over Southend the previous day, Bohemians knew that they would have to beat Dungarvan in Kilrush Park on Sunday morning to regain their lead at the top of the league table.

When Mark Crotty put the Old Borough side in front after 35 minutes things looked bleak for Clem Fanning’s men. The second half was a different story however and goals from Gerry Connors and Paul Walsh gave the visitors the win they required.

Bohemians now lead Crystal by a point but they have played one game more. Dungarvan are unlikely to win the league now following this defeat.
