There was a lot of tension in the air in Ozier Park on Sunday morning last. The Waterford team (managed by Gary Coad) knew they had to score a large number of goals to advance in the competition. Following draws against West Cork and Kerry, allied to a victory over Limerick, nothing more than an impressive tally would do if they wished to continue in the provincial tournament. That did not look possible with 15 minutes remaining, because at that stage the teams were locked together at a goal apiece.
