N4S5Pic2 Waterford and its surrounding areas again notched up impressive marks in this  year’s Tidy Towns competition.
While Moynalty, County Meath emerged as the overall winner in this year’s  competition with 316 points, many local areas gained top results.
The 2013 competition featured entries from 832 towns and villages throughout  the country.
Waterford City gained a silver medal as did Tidy Towns stalwart Stradbally.
Lismore was awarded a gold medal, with Dungarvan also achieving silver.
Dunmore East received an Endeavour Award and a prize of €500.
