Frozen water pipes have provided residents and engineers across the region with a massive headache throughout Christmas and well into this week, leading to curtailed services in many areas.
At the time of writing, water services remain limited in East Waterford, with the Portlaw supply switched off for the second successive day at 10pm last (Tuesday) night.
It was due to be turned back on at 7am this (Wednesday) morning with further disruption to the supply scheduled during this afternoon.
Since Monday, leak detection work has also been conducted by Waterford County Council in the Tramore, Dunmore East, Crooke, Butlerstown, Faithlegg and Cheekpoint areas.
