Tramore Town Council is demanding an explanation as to why the resort has been downgraded through the replacement of retired Garda Superintendent Jerry Lynch by a lower ranked Inspector.
The ‘downgrading’ accusation was levelled at the Council’s June meeting by an indignant Cllr Lola O’Sullivan who said she found it difficult to understand why a town of rising population – which doubled during the tourist season – should be so treated.
