General election candidate John Halligan has hit back at Waterford Chamber President Tom Murrane and economist Jim Power, both of whom heaped derision on comments made by Cllr Halligan on radio last week.
Speaking to The Munster Express, the Waterford City Councillor said he would apologise to no-one for the comments he made on a post-Budget ‘Deise AM’ debate on WLRfm.
Cllr Halligan has called for a discussion “at the very least” to be entered into regarding Ireland’s Corporation Tax rate, a prospect which no business chief would appear remotely keen on entering into.
