John Hearn Ironmongers are to transfer to the outskirts of the city after more than seventy years at The Quay in Waterford.
Within the next few weeks the business will re-locate to a four-unit retail park at Six Cross Roads, off Outer Ring Road.
Explaining the move, Director Paddy Hearn, whose grandfather John founded the company and whose father Ronnie is Joint Director, said the new location would be more convenient for customers and more spacious for loading purposes.
All staff are being retained so the usual courteous and helpful service is guaranteed to continue.
