Tramore 3; Ferrybank 4

It is hard to believe but Ferrybank recorded only their second league victory of the season when they won in Tramore on Saturday night last. It is also hard to believe that Tramore have slipped into relegation trouble following this defeat.

Shane Mallon opened the scoring for Ferrybank with a shot from 25 yards after 17 minutes. The ball slipped through the hands of the Tramore goalkeeper Stephen Gahan. The Seasiders got back on level terms one minute later when Leigh Quilty set up John Power who struck the ball past Sean Phelan at the second time of asking.

Kevin Roche then scored the first goal of his hat-trick on 36 minutes after great work down the left flank by Shane Mallon. Sean Flynn did the hard work for Kevin Roche on 63 minutes when he got past Ian Stenson and Roche found the net from 16 yards.

Kevin Roche completed his hat-trick after 74 minutes when both Dan Goggin and Ian Stenson failed to deal with a long ball played forward by Ger Flynn.

Tramore came back with goals from Leigh Quilty (penalty) after Ross Douglas had been taken down and in the last minute Leigh Quilty scored from a free-kick. Tramore’s Frances Rockett was also sent off after 86 minutes.
