On Sunday last in Templemore, Co Tipperary the final Munster Track and Field fixture of the season took place and Waterford athletes figured very prominently. In the individual championships athletes from An Ghaeltacht had a very good day. They had wins with Thomas Ahearne, u11 Long jump and 600m; Liam Reilly, u13 600m, Cormac Mahony u9 100m, and he was second in the 300m. Emma Hallahan was second in the Long Jump u12 and Laura Miller was third in the u9 80 metres.

For Waterford AC there were wins by Ethan Flynn, u9 300m, Nicole Rowe in the Long Jump u16, Lynsey Maguire was second u10 300m, Saoirse Casey Power also had a second in the u16 100m, and third placings went to Ethan Flynn u9 Long Jump and Nicole Rowe 800m u16 and in the u 11 Combined Events Hugo Blair was third.

In the Combined events u12 Ferrybank had the first three. Anne Corcoran won, Orlaith O’Brien was second and Krista Meade was third and in the u13 Amy Foley, do was third.
