The GAA has decided to tinker with the National Hurling League format for the 2012 season – and for once, Central Council appears to have done something which makes total sense.
The 2012 competition will see the top six teams in the country play each other in the one group with the next six playing in another group.
The end result could and should mean that we should have some evenly matched sides facing up to each other, thus putting an end (hopefully) to some of the one-sided fixtures we’ve had in recent years.
