It wasn’t just the warmth of the standing ovation and the euphoria of the cast or the technical expertise of Clara Musical Society in staging the Irish premiere of Curtains – a musical comedy whodunit, but that glorious can-do attitude of a small group who tingle and sparkle with the love of performing and strutting their talents just to entertain.
Curtains is a big-ask musical with Kander and Ebb pedigree that requires a lot of technical expertise to stage and requires that light comedic touch which many shows lack.
