Sasha Keating, the daughter of murder victim Meg Walsh, has reached a settlement in her civil action against John O’Brien for a share of her mother’s estate.
Mr O’Brien, 45, was acquitted of killing his wife, Ms Walsh, in 2008. He settled a civil action with Ms Keating at the weekend, following a detailed hearing in Dungarvan last Thursday. Judge Olive Buttimer at the Circuit Civil Court sitting in Carlow on Tuesday and it is understood that Ms Keating will now receive either a share in the property or a monetary equivalent.
