That Christmas is approaching and the Waterford Senior Football Championship still hasn’t been completed represents an incredulous and lamentable state of affairs.
The long-awaited relegation play-off between Saint Saviours and Ballinameela, due to be played in Kilmacthomas on Friday last, was postponed last Tuesday.
It prompted our Saint Saviours wordsmith to pen the following: “Once again, and it should come as no surprise, the Waterford County Board has treated the normal club player with disdain and disrespect with the proposed postponement of last Friday’s relegation fixture.
