Mount Sion top Group Two of the Senior Hurling Championship having held on for a three-point victory over old rivals Ballygunner in Walsh Park last Saturday evening.
In the end, Mount Sion were somewhat on the ropes after Ballygunner fought back from a 12-point deficit after 22 minutes.
But it was a splendid first half performance which laid the foundation for the monatery men, during time they scored 2-10.
