The three Independent members of Tramore Town Council have come together to fight closure of the motor tax facility in the local Civic Offices, which they see as a vital pillar of the resort’s economy. And they pledge to take the legal route if necessary.
Cllrs Joe Conway, Blaise Hannigan and Pat Finnerty described the decision by the Executive of Waterford County Council to axe the service as being both repugnant to the people of Tramore and disrespectful of the town’s status as the largest in the county. They take particular exception to the absence of any prior consultation with the Town or Area councillors.
