The eagerly awaited clash between the top two teams in the Premier League attracted  a large crowd to Graun Park on Saturday night and thankfully the game did not disappoint. It crackled and popped all through and the feisty 90 minutes of action produced plenty of talking points, and no less than ten yellow cards, five to each side.
Tramore deserved their victory and they are now five points clear at the top of the league table following six wins from their six games played.
As predicted prior to the game the opening 15 minutes minutes saw tackles flying in all over the place and a number of different altercations took place. In the fourth minute Christopher Grace set Phil Drohan free but the Tramore winger had his shot saved by Darragh Gibbs who was playing in the Carrick goal in place of the unavailable Adrian Walsh.
