The Medieval Choristers Hall in Waterford’s Cathedral Square – more commonly referred to as the Undercroft – will form part of the new visitor experience in the heart of the city.
Plans for conservation works to accommodate its inclusion as a new museum feature in the heart of the Viking Triangle/Historic District project were formally ratified at the December meeting of Waterford City Council.
Seven different works are to be carried out, including the conservation of two flights of steps between the upper and lower undercrofts so as to improve accessibility within the stunning structure.
