hasbroTen redundancies are being sought at toy manufacturer Hasbro from amongst the company’s 200-strong core workforce.
Staff at the plant were called to a meeting with management last week and SIPTU is now understood to be engaged in talks with regard to the redundancy and support package on offer, understood to be six weeks pay inclusive of statutory per year of service.
In a statement, the company said it is also looking to restructure some of its manufacturing capacity to a more flexible market demand driven arrangement, in a bid to address their competitiveness and reduce costs. Hasbro Ireland was been based in Waterford since 1977.
