MaxExposureThe ‘Maximum Exposure Animated States Dance Festival’ takes place in Waterford city this Saturday and Sunday.

Featuring six venues (Black Friars, Millennium Plaza, French Church, Waterford Crystal, Theatre Royal and Peoples Park) and six choreographers, the site-specific festival is free to the public. It will take place from 11am to 3.30pm on Saturday and from 3pm to 7.30pm on Sunday.

The aim of the festival, directed by Jessica Rowell, is to display a language of dance that will convey humour, wit and pathos that will, hopefully, enchant both passers-by and devotees of dance alike.

The festival gets underway this afternoon (Friday) with a dance spectacle to the live sound of local Waterford band, Rubber Soul, in John Robert’s Square at 6pm.

Maximum Exposure 2010 is supported by Waterford City Council Arts Office as part of the Summer City Arts Programme.
