Following a two year absence from the Premier League, Hibernians will be dining at the top table once again next season after clinching the Division IA League last weekend.

They still have quite a number of games to play but they cannot be caught by any team because they have a total of 47 points and none of the other teams will be able to reach that figure. On Saturday last they defeated Bolton 1-0 thanks to a second half goal from Mark Gahan.

On Sunday Tramore Rangers defeated Southend United 3-2 and that result was enough to start the celebrations within the Hibernians camp. Fifteen victories and two draws is their record to date and now they will try and create a record by going through the entire league campaign undefeated.

Next up for them is a home game against Grannagh. Brian “The Fox” O’Keeffe returned to the club this season as manager and despite his recent superb performances on the poker table he managed to come up trumps for Hibernians.

The club were certainly dealt a good hand when “The Fox” returned!
