The class of Timmy Hammersley nor Liam Rushe didn’t prove good enough to gift the two points on offer to either side in this Group ‘A’ Fitzgibbon Cup game fixture at Carriganore last Thursday.
This was the first Fitzgibbon Cup game to be played at the superb new campus on the Outer Ring Road and what a game it proved to be.
Over the course of the hour the fete served up by both sides was of the highest order. By full-time, no-one leaving the ground will have gone home disappointed with what was served up by the players.
The sides were level on no fewer than eight occasions over the hour and it was no real surprise that the game did end in stalemate.
