Offaly 1-19 Waterford 2-19

To still have something to play for going into the last round of League fixtures was all that any Waterford supporter could have hoped for at the outset of the campaign.
Well, thanks to Sunday’s win in Tullamore and Tipperary’s belt-whipping of Galway, Davy Fitzgerald’s side have achieved just that.
In truth, despite Offaly’s spirited final quarter rally, Waterford essentially had the job done by half-time when they led by seven points.
