Ballygunner somewhat atoned for their Munster Senior Club Championship defeat when coasting to their third successive Under-21 County title after a 25-point win over Cappoquin in Carriganore last Sunday.
Gunners skipper Pauric Mahony acknowledged that Cappoquin were very unfortunate that they met the red and black a week after their loss to Na Piarsaigh given the hurt of that defeat.
The scoreline may suggest that this was the easiest of wins for Ballygunner but it doesn’t tell the full story of this county final.
