We were robbed: that was certainly the enduring sentiment among Waterford fans as they left Semple Stadium last Wednesday evening following Waterford’s five- point defeat to Tipperary in the Munster Under-21 Championship.
However, the performance of referee Diarmuid Kirwan doesn’t even tell half the tale of this absorbing clash which will also be remembered for the impossible comeback that 14-man Waterford nearly pulled off.
