St Carthage’s 2-17; De La Salle 2-14
St Carthages took the Waterford minor hurling title after defeating De La Salle in a superb final at Walsh Park last Sunday afternoon.
The men from Lismore, Ballysaggart and Tourin won this game the hard way as two first half goals from De La Salle corner-forward Dylan Foley helped the city side into a half-time lead of 2-8 to 0-9.
However, in Stephen Bennett, St Carthage’s had an ace of their own and despite being only 16 years old, he completely dominated the second half and drove his side home to victory.
