While visitor numbers for the first day of the Tall Ships Festival hit around 50,000, numbers on the North and South Quays increased on the Friday and reached a peak on Saturday afternoon.
It’s estimated that 150,000 made it into Waterford on Saturday, with people queuing for up to an hour to access some of the vessels.
