Two local enterprise centres have been included in a recent funding allocation by Enterprise Ireland.
Waterford Local Economic Development Company, c/o St. Saviours Parish Centre, in Ballybeg will to receive a Capital Grant of €450,000 under the programme, while Cappoquin Community Development Company Ltd., at the Twig Bog Community Centre has been awarded a Management Development Grant of €50,000 (shared also with Dungarvan).
The news has been welcomed by Arts, Sports and Tourism Minister Martin Cullen TD, who said the Government would be instrumental in driving local enterprise and entrepreneurship.
“Our local enterprise centres here in Waterford have a real and measurable impact on the economic and social development of local communities and are a tangible contribution to balanced regional development”, he continued. “They provide practical support in terms of space and facilities and a supportive environment, for new businesses to emerge and prosper at a local level.”
