Hailo, the free smartphone app that puts customers’ just two taps away from a licensed vehicle, has now arrived in Waterford.

Having experienced great success in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick, Hailo will now become available in 20 towns and cities across 15 counties.

Commuters in Waterford can now also enjoy the benefits of being connected to Ireland’s largest taxi network, meaning wherever they are in the country, they can get a Hailo taxi at the tap of a screen.

Customers are paired with the nearest driver, resulting in shorter waiting times. Users can even watch the taxi arrive live via the app.

Each journey is recorded and tracked with both the driver’s photo and roof sign number displayed on passenger phones, ensuring the highest levels of safety for the duration of their Hailo trip. Hailo customers can pay automatically with a credit or debit card, or using cash.

There is also the added benefit of people being able to retrieve their lost property as the app features a call button, allowing the customer to ring their taxi driver.

As Hailo is now available Nationwide, users of the app can access a taxi wherever they are in the country. The app can be downloaded from the App store or Google play. Go to www.hailocab.com/ireland for more information.
