Waterford Local Enterprise Office has announced a programme of 21 events during Local Enterprise Week 2020, taking place throughout Waterford City and County from March 2nd to March 6th.
Incorporating the theme of “Making It Happen”, this year Local Enterprise Week will feature a host of informative and engaging workshops, seminars, presentations and advice clinics aimed at local businesses, whether in pre-start, start-up or as an established business looking to grow.

A key event kicking off the jam-packed programme is “Delivering Value: A design thinking approach for solo entrepreneurs” at the Park Hotel, Dungarvan on Monday, March 2nd. Ideal for those going it alone, the workshop will reveal how to deliver value to customers using a design thinking approach.

On March 4th “Mind Magic Your Business” is a not-to-be-missed presentation by world-renowned brain hacker and hypnotist, Keith Barry. The Waterford man’s presentation will provide unparalleled insight into enhancing leadership abilities and breaking through barriers to reach your business goals.

Seanie Walsh is a dynamic young social media disruptor. Following his highly successful “The E-Commerce Maze” workshop at last year’s LEW, he is back on March 6th with a Social Media Mash-Up. Curated by Paul Dower of Waterford in your Pocket, Seanie will explore the real state of the social media marketing industry in Ireland, examining the power this new breed of marketing now holds and how to use social media to start, fund and grow your business.

Having been chosen as the winner of the Foodie Destinations in 2019, “Building Waterford, the Award-Winning Foodie Destination” is a collaboration between Food, the Waterford Way and the EnterpRISING Food Waterford series. This networking event on March 3rd will underpin how to continue to build and protect the integrity and status of our region’s foodie status.

Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office Waterford Richie Walsh said, “This year’s Local Enterprise Week programme has something for everyone, whatever phase your business is in, or whatever sector your business is in. The range of events and the calibre of speakers and facilitators are such that the topical business issues affecting us today and, in the future, will be addressed with practical insight into achieving your business goals.”

“Waterford Local Enterprise Office is delighted to work in conjunction with various key business support organisations and state agencies, including Enterprise Ireland, Waterford Chamber of Commerce and RIKON to provide a programme that ultimately gives start-ups and small businesses opportunities, advice and resources to unleash their potential and help them on the path to growth.”

Other events taking place throughout Local Enterprise Week include Future-proof your business for Success workshop; the National Enterprise Awards; Student Enterprise Awards; Protecting your IP clinic; On-line selling for Craft Business workshop and general business advice clinics.
