Ibec, Waterford Chamber and Waterford City Council have joined forces to announce details of an upcoming ‘Regional Economic Forum’ to be held in City Hall on Wednesday, March 12th from 8.30am to 2pm.
The Forum will address a range of business and economic issues impacting on the status and future prospects for Waterford City and the South East Region in terms of investment, growth and jobs.
The particular context is the amalgamation of the two Waterford Local Authorities and the unique opportunity this presents to determine a joint public-private regional growth strategy.
A number of high profile speakers will participate in the event including Michael Walsh (Waterford City Manager), Tom Boland (CEO, Higher Education Authority), John Sweeney (National Economic & Social Council), Gerard McCleave (Development Director, Ilex Regeneration, Derry), Jim Power (Economist), Gary Breen (Fáilte Ireland) and Dr Willie Donnelly (WIT).
