At an AGM and EGM of the Theatre Royal Society Ltd on Thursday 23rd June 2011 the shareholders voted on a resolution to change from a Friendly Society to become a Company limited by guarantee (not having a share capital).
The vote was unanimous and the proceedings were tinged with a note of sadness as long standing shareholder Dan Gallagher told of those early days when to prevent the Royal being turned into offices, a Committee and friendly Society were formed.
