Bill Shipsey, a native of Dunmore East and a past pupil Of Waterpark School, is the recently-appointed High Court Inspector to the DCC issue.

This follows the sale of shares in the Fyffes fruit company, when a DCC director was on the board and about which there has been a hugely expensive High Court Action.

Bill is a barrister and senior counsel of many years standing, having appeared for many high-profile clients over the years.

He is also involved in Human Rights and Amnesty International for many years and has a passion for these subjects.

He has also done some major mountain walk challenges for charity,

One involved climbing the highest mountains in Ireland England Wales and Scotland.

Bill is married to an American from California and lived a number of years there in San Francisco before returning to Dublin.

He is son of the well-known Waterford couple Roger and Ita Shipsey and brother of Tom, who is also very successful.

A very personable guy, he played soccer and rugby in his youth and remains popular among his old school friends.
