A Waterford city-based politician has said that levels of heroin use in the city were, according to information Gardaí had relayed to her, reaching “epidemic proportions”.
“There’s been a big increase in the ‘low levels’ of crime, so to speak, we’re reading it in the papers every week and we hear it on local radio pretty much every day,” said Councillor Mary Roche.
