Waterford Treasures' 500,000th visitor was welcomed last week amidst a fanfare of ticker tape when Barbara Silver-Cromwell of Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada walked through the doors of the Medieval Museum. Ms Silver-Cromwell received a commissioned piece of engraved crystal from the studio of the museum's resident glass engraver, Sean Egan.

Waterford’s Medieval Museum has made the latest TripAdvisor’s ‘Top 10′ list of Irish Museums in the Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Based on user reviews, the list compiled by the American travel website is viewed by millions around the world, meaning Waterford Treasures will be a must-see for countless visitors who plan their trip to Ireland online.
The list also includes four Dublin museums, Croke Park Stadium Tour & GAA Museum, Dublin, Derryglad Folk & Heritage Museum, Athlone, Frank McCourt Museum (Limerick), the National Museum of Ireland [Country Life] in Castlebar, Celtic & Preshistoric Museum (Ventry, Kerry) and the Foynes Flying Boat Museum in Limerick. Waterford Treasures ranked sixth amongst tourists.
