The rather unusual behaviour of a man who appeared at Portlaoise District Court last week caused more than a little consternation. The Laois Nationalist newspaper reports that a 53-year-old man was due to have a case heard by Judge Gerard Haughton. His solicitor, Josephine Fitzpatrick, had hoped the case would go on during the morning session but the fixture list was very heavy and it was put in to be dealt with in the afternoon.
