Sphero's Star Wars BB-8 droid is expected to be one of the most sought after toys this Christmas.
Nobody likes to talk about Christmas while we are still in September but parents should be aware, if they can afford it, that a robotic toy of one of the characters from the forthcoming Star Wars sequel (in the cinemas in December) could well become one of most requested gifts this Christmas.
Sphero’s BB-8 droid features a head that stays balanced on top of a spinning ball. It can be controlled by a smartphone or tablet and reacts to voice commands.
The character already features prominently in trailers for the seventh episode in the movie saga, which is titled ‘The Force Awakens’. I haven’t got a price for the toy but, no doubt, it won’t come cheap!
