There have been repeated suggestions in the wake of the Talk Talk crisis that now, more than ever, a university must be delivered for the south east.
Such a development could, in Waterford Chamber’s view, provide a €90 million boost for the city and its neighbouring jurisdictions (according to a 2006 Goodbody report).
“Further reports in 2007 and 2008, also commissioned by Waterford Chamber clearly show that university designated third and fourth level education must be delivered in Waterford if the South East region is to improve its record of poor economic performance relative to the rest of the country,” said Waterford Chamber President, Anne Marie Caulfield. And so say all of us.
