Ballinacourty 0-6; Stradbally 0-5

Stradbally were dethroned as County Football champions at a wet and windy Fraher Field on Sunday last they were edged out by Ballinacourty in what was the classic game of two halves.
Some questioned the wisdom of the County Board in allowing this game to go ahead in outrageous conditions as it could have led to a player or indeed players picking up a serious injury.
However, County Board officials were left with no other option but to start the game at least as there is a Munster Championship game to be played in less than two weeks time.
However, the County Board certainly erred last weekend in allowing so many games to be played at Fraher Field over the weekend.
