Four men and two women
were arrested in Tramore on
Monday afternoon during protests
against the installation of
Irish Water meters.
Four people were initially
taken into Garda custody for
obstructing the installation of
meters at the Barra Glas estate.
Later in the afternoon, a
further two were arrested
at Elm Park in the town.
All six were taken arrested
under Section 12 of the Water
Services Act and brought to
Tramore Garda Station. They
were questioned and released
later on Monday evening,
pending a file to the DPP.
